Identity

I am a storm cloud

Spreading my darkness throughout

My life and others' too.

A chameleon

Sitting on the wall and

Hiding from friends and foe.

A zebra hidden

In grasses that hide

All that makes myself.

A shadow in life

Not standing out but standing

By my master's side.

A friend always true

Loyal, faithful, forgiving

Never accusing.

My own consciousness

Drinking knowledge, eating words

Learning to be me.

Challenge

Pie.

Apple pumpkin, maybe pecan?

No.

I shan't pick one pie,

I shall choose them all and eat them too.

That's it

It is a day for pie.

Today I will eat pie

And cherish it.

I will feast on pies

And let all the others eat pie too.

We will have a banquet of pies for all

And all will be thankful and happy.

Today is a day for pie and for 3.14159

Food Riot

Everyone around the table

Almost ready to eat

The food is hot and ready when

A "Squawk!" comes from the meat

The green beans choke the carrots

The gravy drowns the swede

Mashed potatoes mashing parsnips

And causing a food stampede

Memories

I remember it

The last time we were cared for

When we were perfect

We had no problems

We were always together

Laughing and smiling

We had so much fun

Every day, the lot of us

We were never upset

Now it's not the same

My friends have all gone away

No one cares for us

I miss the old days

I miss your kind, gentle touch

I miss everything

Now it's different

No one to keep us alive

We are all broken
