Theatre

The way the lights,

Illuminate the stage,

The way a script looks,

From the very first page.

The way the words flow,

Smoothly off your tongue;

The way of memorising,

When it has just begun.

The way the actors block,

Up centre and down.

The way emotions fluctuate,

From smile to a frown.

The way the audience sits,

And laughs and cries and feels.

The way a performer acts

And lives and dies and heals.

The way they dress in costume,

From rags to finest dress.

The way they fall in love

With drama's sweet caress.

stupid sloppy grin

the smile you get when I say I want to kill you and you know I really mean that I want to kiss you.

Simple

Words. Strung together so elegantly can make even the ugliest things sound beautiful.

Beauty in Cancer

I find it beautiful when someone performs the selfless act of shaving their head during a time when a significant other has cancer and has lost their hair due to the harsh chemotherapy. I often wonder if I would be able to do such a thing if I were ever in a position do to so.

To me, at least.

If I've never seen anything so beautiful this would be it..

(Walking down the streets a person could pass up to about 30+ people depending how long the walk is, where, what time, etc.). The other day I woke up, showered, and walked to school. I walked up a few small hills and turned a few round corners and the sight I saw stopped me in my tracks. I must have just missed the death of a bird. What I saw was a bird trying to get the dead bird up! This sight hurt my heart. I wasn't sure if the bird was really dead or if it was just badly injured but it made me realize: no matter of what species, of which country, of what background a person or animal still experiences the same range of emotions and life events. It was so sad because we all lose loved ones and the first thing that we want is for them to come back. We sort of beg. We all have hearts. This to me is beautiful because too many people focus on and hate/discriminate other because of those differences. If we could take notice of those differences and learn from, and accept them we could prosper.

Beautiful

To me, loyalty is perhaps one of the most admired and beautiful side effects of relationships.

To be close to someone, and to be assured that all you give is returned ten fold is one of life's great joys. To know in your mind that no matter the trips and turns of life, someone has your back, is just so soul settling.

And, as will often happen, to suddenly discover that someone whom you thought was your rock has betrayed your trust will mark and sting you for a long time.

Good luck to you all out there in your relations. I do hope you find your rocks.

The first bit of ice cream in the hot summer air. The way it melts on your tongue and you inadvertently crinkle your nose and scrunch up your eyes. A breeze lifting the bit of hair off the nap of your neck and the way you lean into my arm as I smile down at you.
