Winter Pantoum 1 (w/audio)

I watch my pale, winter hands

painting butterfly pleas against an insouciant sky.

I pray and wait in solitude, in great numbers,

will you greet me when the sun returns?

We painted butterfly pleas against a pale sky

that solemn afternoon we lay curled upon each other in denial.

"Will you greet me when the sun returns?"

"I promise, upon all I hold dear, I will be here."

That solemn afternoon, we lay. Curled upon each other in denial.

You promised me Summer Eternal, your deceit jangled in my head:

"I promise, upon all I hold dear, I will be here."

You returned, with Springtime on your adoring arm, her beauty fruitful.

You promised me Summer Eternal. How your deceit now jangles in my head!

I shall wither with no mourners to gnash their teeth or tear out their hair.

You returned with Springtime on your adoring arm. Oh! How her beauty was fruitful!

Death brings a lover's touch, and I smile, grateful, as I watch my pale winter hands.

Belly Heat

Lust brushed her lips as she engulfed his wet finger

Opening her mouth wide, she swallowed in passion

His tongue traced a wandering path between breasts

She arched back sensuously as he suckled her warmth

Opening her mouth wide, she swallowed in passion

she moaned and screamed and begged for more

She arched back sensuously as he suckled her warmth

He traced heat of her belly to the core of her being.

She moaned and screamed and begged for more

He thrust inside filling her with mounting hunger

He traced heat of her belly to the core of her being

He caressed her hips and pulled her center to him.

He thrust inside filling her with mounting hunger

intense fire erupted in flushed burning crescendo

He caressed her hips and pulled her center to him

Lust brushed her lips as she engulfed his wet finger.

Judgment day

The dozer's silent, the skies are grey

The darting birds stake their claim

Hopping from stone to hardened clay

Playing the ancient hunger game.

Oh, the darting birds stake their claim

To a land scarred by oil stains

That continues to call my name

And whispers, the shame, the shame.

But the land that is scarred by stains

Is the land of my father all the same

Even though his memory shouts

Please, not in my name, my name.

Grey

I don't know what to say right now.

Lost for words? I know! It's odd,

I'm usually on top of things,

but not now. Where to go from here?

Lost! Forwards, I know. It's odd,

I'm usually so sure of things.

But not now. Where to go? From here

it's hazy, not too clear a view.

I'm usually so sure of things;

people say "He knows his shit".

It says: a knot to clear. A view's

what's needed to find a way to 'there'.

People say "He knows he's shit,

but - " "Not now!" Where to go from here?

What's needed? To find a way to their...

Separate Rooms

We're barely even half  asleep.

The song begins at wake of dawn.

We peak beneath the sheets and shriek,

Now stretch your legs then yawn.

The song begins at wake of dawn,

The little shits are up! No choice!

Now stretch your legs then Yawn,

I do not want to hear that voice!

The little shits are up! No Choice,

I hear 'em mumble through the wall.

I do not want to hear that voice,

It's Christmas morning after all.

I hear 'em mumble through the wall!

We're barely even half asleep!

It's Christmas morning after all!

We peak beneath the sheets and Shriek.

Worlds Collide

With a crash worlds collide

    You think you see inside

But what you really view

    Is a reflection of you

You think you see inside

    Not expecting them to hide

It's a reflection of you

    Instead of what is true

You don't expect them to hide

    What they hold inside

Not showing you the truth

Of all they are to you

What they hold inside

    It isn't the same ride

All they are to you

    Not who you

         thought you

                  knew

    When crashing

          worlds

                  collide.

(I hope this is at least close to what it's supposed to be to fit the challenge!)

Moving on is different than forgetting

I can still remember that vibrant sunrise

You promised me forever

I let your face become my everything

And your every word consumed me

You promised me forever,

You thought I would forget?

I wore my favorite sweater that day

I do not wear it anymore

You thought I would forget,

That you were my raft in this vast ocean

How can I forget the very thing that grounded me?

I did not realize that I needed you, but you never needed me

You were my raft in this vast ocean,

but I have grown accustomed to drowning

I cannot breathe without you

The water made it hard to see beyond you

I have grown accustomed to drowning

How else do you think I learned how to swim?

I remember that sunrise from day one

But the next day, I saw a brand new sun

Slow Swing

Three lonely

Lovers are

There in an

Empty room.

Lovers are

Dreaming of

Empty room's

Sexiness,

Dreaming of

Fantasies,

Sexiness,

Otherness.

Fantasies

Keep for the

Otherness

Sacred place,

Keep for the

Lovers the

Sacred place

Of the dreams.

Lovers the

Roses, thorns

Of the dreams

Fondle in minds.

Roses, thorns

Bloom when they

Fondle in minds,

Become fierce.

Bloom when they

Are not to

Become fierce

From regrets,

Are not to

Make mistakes

From regrets

Of missed love.

Mistakes made

From bad luck

Of love missed.

They got lost

From bad luck:

Three lonely,...

They got lost

There in.

Three lonely

Lovers are

There in an

Empty room.

Pantoum to the Fae

It happened in a deep wood

The tinkling like a bell

Gentler than such a thing could

Like the ocean through a shell

The tinkling like a bell

Or more like tiny laughter

Like the ocean through a shell

Echoing faintly after

More like tiny laughter

Like that from a fairy

Echoing faintly after

Light and airy

Like that from a fairy

A soft and gentle touch

Light and airy

The gentleness too much

A soft and gentle touch

Gliding across my cheek

The gentleness too much

In fact it made me weak

Gliding across my cheek

Dancing past my locket

In fact it made me weak

Like the fruit of the goblin market

Dancing past my locket

I remembered to hurry home

Like the fruit of the goblin market

It made me want to roam.

Run little child, can't you hear the howl.

The wolf is coming and he's planning something foul.

Your body is small and your mind is light.

He can eat you in one big bite.

The wolf is coming and he's planning something foul.

But you have grown and can match his growl.

You try to stand up and fight.

The wolf will surely be forced into flight.

You have grown and can match his growls.

But your jaw is starting to get jowls.

Your powers are draining and you're losing your sight.

The wolf appeared and even he seems white.

Your jaw is starting to get jowls.

Even you know, you don't have that many hours.

You close your eyes and fall into the night.

You might even see the wolf again in the heigh.

Your body is small and your mind is light.

You try to stand up and fight.

But your powers are draining and you're losing your sight.

Close your eyes and fall into the night.
