Curse/Blessing

In a sense

The loss of

Innocence

Is

In essence

The gain of

Inner sense

Challenge
Give me, please: a micropoem consisting of 10 words, starting with the word "one," and ending with the word "ten." TAG me as well, if you wish! #onetoten

OneToTen

One time,

just once,

I'd like to get a ten.

Challenge
Rewrite your favorite song using 15-20 words only. Great if you can make it into a haiku.

Song To The Siren

I sailed on your call.

For your lie my heart now lies

beating but beaten.

Challenge
Something that I also love to do is sing. I have not sung in a very long time (karaoke) and I miss it so much. So while listening to a song, I started singing and inspiration dawned on me. Why not record a song and share it here on Prose. We might not be the best of singers, (well I'm sure some are) but it would be so much fun to hear prosers singing! Drunk or not, in tune or out of tune. What the heck! The purpose is to have fun. Interact with your fellow prosers and have one big Karaoke party. So let's get the party started! #prosekaraoke tag me on your voices!

Dig

Something that's been kicking around for a while, and, because it's acapella, seemed to fit this challenge, so I recorded it. Wrote it while I was very angry about something, but still sounds quite mellow! Hope the link works.

Grey

I don't know what to say right now.

Lost for words? I know! It's odd,

I'm usually on top of things,

but not now. Where to go from here?

Lost! Forwards, I know. It's odd,

I'm usually so sure of things.

But not now. Where to go? From here

it's hazy, not too clear a view.

I'm usually so sure of things;

people say "He knows his shit".

It says: a knot to clear. A view's

what's needed to find a way to 'there'.

People say "He knows he's shit,

but - " "Not now!" Where to go from here?

What's needed? To find a way to their...

I don't know what to say right now.

Note To Self (Audio)

First time I've ever done this, but thought I'd give it a go. A sort of anti-Prufrock spoken word thing. I hope the link works!

Manifesto (Explicit)

Fuck you and your

Fucked-up

Fuckfest.

We're fucked off

With being fucked

By you fuckers.

So fuck it;

This fucking time

We fuck you back.

Challenge
I just discovered a poetic style called the haiku sonnet. It is comprised of four haiku followed by a couplet of either five or seven syllables. Let's give it a try. Please tag me!

Coda

Jericho's falling!

I hear the quiet tattoo

of stone upon stone.

"There's no time to lose",

said the thief to the beggar,

"sell your soul for food!"

No matter what war,

the venue for any fight

is always the mind.

Implicit in this,

now made explicit for you,

is nothing has changed.

Innocence will die,

even when love wins.

Challenge
Write about your muse, real or imaginary. No boundaries, but make sure you tag me! I would love to hear about your personified inspiration. I'll do one, too!

Muse

Just a ruse

To peruse

And choose

Who's

My Muse.

I am.

Regret.

Every choice

I ever made

Every thing

I ever did

While I have breathed

Has driven me

To this place

At this time

With you.

I regret nothing.
