He Doesn’t Love You

It's cruel to be kind

to Love Unrequited

She hears promises in your lies

She sees beauty in your blackened heart

She's sewing hope into your jagged edges

Instead

Say nothing, deny her existence

Disappear like morning fog

Flaunt your newfound happiness

Until you're transformed

Heart's desire.....

Now bittersweet memories

Messy

Never loved you, never will

Thought I did but didn't still

You'll get over it and be just fine.

Just as I did the first five hundred times.

It never gets easier, it never hurts less

Just turn and go on with your life.

While mine remains a mess.

Wrong Love.

I got a letter from your future soul mate today...

They told me it's time to let you go.

Don’t Breathe

The wound

Could heal,

But

The knife

In your

Mouth

Is too heavy.

You hide the blade

Behind a smile,

But you know

That

Though you

Have not slipped

The blade

Into their

Heart,

You are still

Killing them

With

Your

Every

Single

Breath.

A Love Unrequited

Love is patient

but Love is not kind

And i'm sorry my dear

But our Love has declined.

I used to look at you

And my heart would flutter

But now I see past you

for I now Love another.

Apology

I thought I loved you

But I can't love anyone

My heart doesn't work

Starbucks, 7 am, and my world’s crashing down.

In a quiet room,

away from the bar,

so others don't see them cry.

Even after hurt,

exchanged by both sides,

have that much compassion at least.

Slide over papers,

and arrange to see,

Samantha, every other week.

(Remember the nights we spent in bed, knowing we could always touch?)

Worthy

You deserve someone

Who loves you the way they love sunshine

And it's not me.

The Wrong One

You're not her.

Not Love, Actually.

I get it.

You're waiting for the "...just kidding!"

Like when I said "I love you"

and followed it up with "... you daft idiot."

Downplaying a thrilling, daunting, life-changing confession.

Trouble is, change doesn't scare me anymore.

I crave it.

Spoiler alert: don't pull the petals off that flower.
