Dear Diary

what day is it?

they all meld together

i don't know how

to stay in this longer

i'm here aren't i?

isn't that enough?

my words they stick

in the mind of the duff

dumb ugly fat friend

isn't that me?

i sense yet no one says

what i fail to see

my representation, my addiction

why cant i ever be heard?

you ignore me in the hallways

you never hear my words

my teenage years are coming to end

yet what i fail to see

is everyone is mindless

all teenagers and me.

Conversation

Chaos is only to the reader's imagination

One will only say through illumination

Change comes upon us through procrastination

Through and through hospitalization

I've learned there is no representation

What about discrimination?

There is no appreciation

Everything has to do with accusation

There is no starting escalation

Now don't you love civilization??

Thoughts...

The grim reaper smiles as he pulls back his drapes

As he fastens his buttons on his little cape

Not all heroes are knights in shining armor

Think about all the secrets you harbor

How you stole a bit of your mother's perfume

How you have to power to safely assume

Why can't we just get along?

Join us together as we sing the song

The song of fate, the song of life

How everyone's story intertwines

Why can't I be just like the rest?

Normal enough to ace the test

The grim reaper grins a filthy dead grin

He knows that this life is coming to an end.

Life

They tell you life gets better

They tell you life gets worse

Everything means nothing

In this universe

Life is full of beautiful things

Remember what you want

Life is full of tragedies

Forget all that it haunts

Grow up, get married, get a job

What’s the purpose of it all?

Slow down and appreciate

Everything so small

Stars within a cloudy night

A stolen kiss of love

Smoke out of a chimney top

The singing of a dove

Dewdrops on a blade of grass

Your favorite class you took

Rainbows after thunderstorms

A poem in a notebook

Life is so much better

Life is so much worse

Everything means something

In this universe

Love maybe?

The walls talk about us

They tell stories surrounding us

About one night on impulse

Will I ever forget those dimples?

Foggy head in the morning

Feels my bed luring

Luring me just one more time

I always know that it lies

Do I remember what I'm doing?

I doubt I remember all I was viewing

Eyes as blue as the walls that surround me

Hotel sheets are my enemy

Do you hear the walls talk about us?

They talk of brighter things, of love.

monsters.

Smiles all around

They see me hide

Dug into the ground

No one's on my side

They tell me they are here for me

They tell me I'm okay

Yet no one knows that at night is when I pay

Pay for the secrets dug into my blood

Pay for the secrets that a thousand words hung

Pay for the secrets yet why can't I see?

Don't you understand? There are monsters inside of me!!

Challenge

bulimia

the words spiral out of me

the tears slide down my cheek

the purging, it has to cease

my addiction, why can't I be

normal like the rest

my life put to the test

why can't i be the best?!

now stop.

spiraling, spiraling

crying, purging.

on my knees-

this has to cease-

why can't i be...

normal.

Challenge

waiting.

my heart swings to and fro

a pendulum with ringing

why can't I just skip all these years?

my life is full of waiting

my thoughts

if walls could talk, what would they scream

would they tell of life's victories

would they tell of the horrors that haunt us at night

would they tell of monsters that disappear in the light

would they yearn for conversation as we talk without end

do they dream in black and white that they will never have a friend

do they whisper to each other of adventures near and far

do they silently cry as they wish upon a star

if walls could talk, what would they scream

telling us all night that life is nothing but a dream...
