Mild Tears
Gathered around the fire, some friends and I decide to open random pages from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, then read aloud random passages from those random pages. We are overcome with laughter. Reading the passages proves itself particularly difficult considering the impulse to cackle. And cackle we nonetheless do, such that it brings me to mild tears.
Either I am easily amused or my friends are idiots
The list would comprise of the following:
1) My brother shot a piece of hamburger out of his nose.
2) one of my co-workers ran over a frozen dead cat (I am not sure why that was so funny but at the time it was hilarious)
3) my friend put on his seat belt to eat his sandwich
4) my friend ran into a glass window pane because he thought it was a doorway. (Seriously this happened)
Coneheads!
Yes, the fabulous movie that was cremated by the critics (what do they know?).
Coneheads is at its core a story of love, and a story of overcoming all odds to fit in with the good folk around you.
It is also a comedy.
For me, this movie is the funniest I've seen in a long time and despite repeated viewings, the same scenes make me curl with laughter each time I see it.
It just never gets old.
But there's one scene that takes the biscuit and is guaranteed to make me shed tears of laughter each time I watch it, but to describe it would maybe spoil it for you good folk yet to view it.
Instead all I'm going to say is point your browser to Coneheads and look for the scene were a heavily pregnant Prymaat loses her waters.
Excuse this old man his peculiar tastes, just watch it and tell me what you think.
