Death

A sudden jolt,

Just a quick spark,

A sense of dizziness,

Then all is dark.

A clammy hand,

Wrapping around your heart,

A beat that stops,

And won't restart.

A soul leaving it's body,

No more debts to pay,

Your eyes are closed forever,

You won't see another day.

The inevitable breath will come, finite and final and the last whisper of everything life.

Cherished Memories

Silence,

No breathing,

No heat,

No heartbeat,

Only silence in the air.

A tongue has ceased,

A mind has ended,

Wisdom has left this world,

Just a little,

By the loss of this one person.

Love has shriveled up,

And is dust,

Because the heart is still,

And the lips are cold.

Nothing can bring them back,

But their memory will forever,

Be ours to cherish.

The smell of flowers and candles

Now surrounds me

The warmth of my skin

Has left me

Sheathed now by darkness and cold

As I have finally

reached the End

Thieves

Swift, deaf, blind

Never appeased

It flies like angels

And steals like thieves

The End

And just like that, it was over.

Eternal darkness.

Silence.

The fire in her heart was going out.

Her sun kissed eye dulling,

her skin growing cold, soon I was the only thing holding her up; fading embers in my arms.

crying in pain,

hoping you can still remember them even after a long time,

Yawning Churchyard

Shadowed illusions

Darkness dancing

'Tween marble monoliths

Hidden, I see

A yawning churchyard

Belching bodies

From gloomy graves.
