Fatherless
There are some who will choose to be fatherless,
Even when they have one still around,
Believing lies in between what is obvious,
And the truth they were taught thru a frown...
Without living your life for a moment,
As you're trying your best to explain,
That the past may be yours so you own it,
But the present leaves no room for blame...
Becuz you still watch them from shadows,
That the sun seems to hide from their view,
Right behind them as they face their battles,
With such pride they wont call upon you...
Does it prove to them that you arent needed,
As you hold your hand out for their clasp,
If they choose will it mean they've conceded,
Or they lose what life meant them to grasp...
There are some who will choose to be fatherless,
And will yell it till they lose their voice,
While the others that hear them are bother less,
Because they know someone left them no choice...

When I Come
One day I will come from heaven
And I'll walk amongst the living
As you worship on Gods day of seven
I will choose the ones forgiving
That will fall so lifeless to the ground
In my shadow as I'm passing
If you listen there won't be a sound
Because I came for them not asking
They are chosen ones who took the path
That my father laid before me
In a frozen but most faithful laugh
They are martyrs of such envy
And the others who will watch in awe
Believe the reason they're still standing
That somehow they just got the call
With their arms reached so demanding
But soon they all will realize
That the devil walks behind me
As the tears of fire fill their eyes
When he takes each one presiding

No Special Place
There is no special place in time
Because time itself is relevant
The past and future both combine
To keep us lost in present sent
When our only gift is looking back
It is History that will dictate
What each passing rift has left intact
For a memory to confiscate
But if we could go back in time
To any moment that is just before
Would one have a change of mind
If it could open up a different door
As probability turns to fate
With a consequence it holds in hand
A possibility has escaped
With a prominence that may demand
There is no special place in time
When a moment will just split in two
As every choice will just redefine
What the future may behold in you

When my Time
When my time has come to pass
Don't bury me six feet down
It's the only thing I'll ever ask
Don't worry about a piece of ground
That someone else's only task
Is to come around now and then
To clean the flowers I left last
Until it's time for you to come again
They dig a hole that's made for two
In case you can't afford a 2nd plot
For anyone that's kin to you
So your stone has an empty spot
I don't want you to have to come
To the same place every year
Cuz wherever you'll be coming from
Is too far just to leave your tears
When my time has come to pass
Take my ashes that I leave behind
To keep with you forever last
So I'm always there to remind ...

When is Now
It is now that when this moment
Will become our past in time
And it is up to us to own it
Before it's just a thought of mine
As I lay here right before you
On my throne of satin sheets
There's just one thing I implore to
Right before you're off your feet
To just lay yourself upon me
While the candle feeds a flame
By a flask of perignon we
Will just pour to place and blame
So that as our lips come closer
I will taste upon your breath
Every sip that led composure
Until there's obviously none left
When your hair begins to drape me
I'll just move behind one ear
Till only air is what's escaping
From a kiss we use to fear ...

Space
You know what hurts the most,
Is when they get so close,
That being under your skin,
Was just the way that they got in...
Sometimes it feels so good,
You almost wish you could,
Give a piece of you away,
So you can brighten someone's day...
Because when you share a part,
Of someone else's heart,
It doesn't matter how its sliced,
You know its always beating twice...
And if it skips a beat,
You know its not complete,
So you search for it again,
To share it with another friend...
Make sure you take your time,
You will always surely find,
That the hearts the only space,
That can never be replaced...

Church Again
As I sit here at the funeral for a close family member today , thought I'd
share
A death brings me to church again
This house of the forsaken
Less breath bereave my family my friend
For their soul to come be taken
While a Gospel hymn is sung out loud
I approach the casket slowly
To listen for the slightest sound
Of anything more holy
If my faith is my religion
Then my father please forgive me
My heart should be forgiven
I will faulter as I'm living
Still searching for some meaning
Thru each lesson life has taught me
Yet hurting while I'm dreaming
As I question what it's brought me
A death brings me to church again
To remind me, I'll be passing
Never how but only when
I will join the everlasting ...

Wind and Water
If water moves just like the wind
Then you will never see it coming
True power comes from deep within
It's the one thing we can summon
Each drop that hides inside a wave
That feeds its tidal forces
Is willing to become enslaved
To the master it rejoices
And as they both become inclined
A storm becomes apparent
Moving like they're intertwined
With a purpose so inherent
One can't force the hand of God
If your hand is what was given
Be forceful in this promenade
As you walk amongst the living
So if you cannot see the wind
Or the water coming towards you
Its your power that can't comprehend

A God gave me the power
To command the world I own
The mighty beast may tower
But it's man who dawns the throne
So that even if I'm weaker
My mind is what posses
The strength I find in ether
That such intellect confesses
Tho war and peace keep coming
I still will test our own
In ones who fight by running
And the others that stand prone
Until there is but one Victor
Who will claim such dominance
That time will take much quicker
Given all my prominence
A God gave me the power
To rule as I see fit
Till the day that my last hour

Lust
So often mistaken for something else
Like a carrot at the end of a stick
And once it is taken, its all by itself
Without merit like some old dirty trick
It's just slight of hand you do understand
A distraction, though, what it may seem
Yet only as grand as one in command
Such satisfaction for who it may deem
What poisons the heart will tear you apart
When it captures the depth of your soul
If only it's caught before it had start
It would never have eaten you whole
Why even touch whats burning so much
Like a moth that's attracted to flames
Once in its clutch it owns you as such
You're aloft in its cinders of blame
So just take your time & see what's behind
What is capturing you with intrigue
If it isn't your mind that's caught in a bind
