The hallway kept going. The farther I ran, the longer it would get. The flickering lights and drab walls only work to add to my overwhelming sense of dread. My heart was racing faster than my legs would carry me. The sound of my footsteps on the stain covered carpet were the only companion I had. The only one besides the shadow that keeps pace with me that keeps reaching out for my neck.
