Consuming Darkness

"Is it possible?" you might ask. "To be consumed from the inside?"

I will tell you. Yes. It is possible.

Darkness is in us all. There's no way around it; we were born that way.

We might as well bleed black blood.

Is there a cure for this darkness? Yes.

Will anyone find it? Most definitely.

Will everyone find it? Certainly not.

Darts

The road to courage: easily found by none,

Forgetting fear, befriending peril - necessary to a 'courageous one' become,

Regularly strangling your mind and the weakness of your heart,

Popping your 'bubble of safety'; exposing your loved ones to Darts.

The Darts of world vary in size,

They very in shape and spur on horrid cries,

Prisoners they take; prisoners of the mind,

Lowering us all and humbling our kind.

They turn us to cowards and beings wholly frail,

Entice us to laziness and catch our dreams in a pail,

Cowardice as their weapon, they dilute our faith,

Scare us from sacrifice and cheapen our race.
