Food for Thought

If you break through the chains binding you to your past...

Are you brave for walking forward renewed?

Or a coward for leaving everything you were behind?

What does it mean to be an ‘adult’?

To walk past that line of adolescence

And metamorphosize into an insect of this buzzing community

Of course you have to change

Even a little, for better or worse

But is it cowardice to forget the kid that got you there to begin with?

Is it easier to scoff at their mistakes

Their gentle naivete

To put them in a corner with imaginary friends and misconceptions

And swear to never turn around

But does that take strength?

Or are you just playing along to the masquerade?

Is it harder to get people to see the ‘new you’

Or for you to still be stitched to that sobbing welp?

…

So…

If you do break those chains in their entirety…

Did you regret it?

Greed…what would I think of greed? Well, I know it can be risky and dangerous, but I have never really experienced greed. I think greed is mostly found in, where else, casinos. People with gambling habits normally use greed to their advantage. Some people have lady luck slap you in the face and lose it all. Other people encourage others to gamble more, making it so they get more in return. To be honest, I’m not really a gambling man. I normally stay away from casinos because of that. Even in games, I stay away from slot machines and stuff. There are so many stories I hear with people getting even a little greedy and losing everything in their life. You should work for things in your life, not have lady luck give it to you. It seems that people have a lot less stressful lives without gambling. And at the heart of all evil… is greed. Yes, people can make millions with gambling, but it tears apart families, love, and most of the time, your own life. It’s very sad how people die just because they gamble way too much. It is a very common to see some illegal things going on just because gambling. But hey, if you’re someone who lives on gambling, I just have one thing to say to you. Think of all the family’s you have destroyed just because of greed.
