Message in a bottle.

Sitting alone 'neath an old oak tree and feeling rather blue

Suddenly, a wondrous sight, appeared within my view

I looked up to the heavens at the moonlit night above

As the sky was rent asunder to reveal the road to love

Now, I'm not all that religious, my belief is rather low

Bu, I heard a gentle voice calling out to me, below

I thought I must be dreaming or perhaps I ought to run

Then I heard a thousand angels all singing out, as one

I had ne'er heard such music in all the years gone by

But a quiet voice assured me that I wasn't going to die

And so I sat and listened to all that I was told

As raindrops fell around me though I didn't feel the cold

Eventually, I fell asleep with a heartfelt sigh

And when I did awaken, the sun was in the sky

And so it was another day but not the same, I knew

I'd learned a lesson for my life, and I wasn't feeling blue

Deep within my being, a change had taken place

And I felt the world would see it, reflected in my face

Something new had touched my soul and changed this world of mine

And now I knew, for certain that - I must lay off the wine!
