Challenge
According to a 2017 study done by me, stardustfalling (PhD in imagination, depression, and depressing poetry), "I'm fine" is the most commonly told lie in the world. Write about it, in any format you choose.

I’m Fine

I say am

But really?

Everyone looks to me for help

Everyone sees me smiling and happy

Everyone doesn't know me.

I can't afford to look anything but fine

Besides, I don't want the attention or sympathy.

So I'll stay here and help you

But to myself I'll ask who is really in need

Dark Turn

You told me you would help me forever

And you were faithful for years

But when I had ideas of terror

You were forced to hear.

Now I hold you to this

To perform acts no man could forgive

And let you fall into the abyss

Where you will no longer live.

Your foolish promise

Was golden for me

You will miss

The joys of life and never be free.

Manifest Destiny

We though it was gold

But those stories were all told

All false yet we rushed to the West

For what we thought was best.

Manifest Destiny, truth or lie?

Remember

And then I felt my soul crumble

The pain was worse than the shatter of my heart

As I saw the towers crumbling

The shatter of the glass

Rocked the world

Caused by a few men who lost their soul

And then shattered so many hearts.

The Never-Ending Battle

We fight for equality

Yet we always lose

To the indifference of ourselves

To the violence of evil

To the power of the greedy,

So how shall we win?

Together

Live For

Dying is the bore of a lifetime

But life has the adventures

And you must have something to make it worth your time

Not something to die for,

But something to live for.

Life is a freefall

No stopping

Only living

So make the most of it.

Song: Ride

Artist: Twenty-One Pilots

5 Rings

We all bleed the same,

On this small Earth,

The same red blood.

Our indifference separates us

But once every four years

We come together

We put our differences aside

And

We all bleed the same.
