A Moment In Time.

"I gave my heart right from the start, and then I said " I do" .We laughed, we loved we shared a home and made a family too. Oh how I loved you fiercely, I bit my tongue for you. I pushed aside my feelings as I needed to support you through! Even though my love was strong, and I thought that we belonged. The unkind words cut deeper, and the apologies simply stopped. I fought for you, through tears. As I treasured all our years, my heart belonged to you forever more. The pain was getting worse. No kind words between us, and I felt invisible to you. Once upon a time, you were always on my mind, and love was your favourite thing to share. Those days are now long gone. Our pictures taken down. My wedding ring discarded in the box.

I'll always have these happy memories, and hang on to them with pride. I know I will get over this unbearable pain inside. The world is full of love and kindness if we only look. The day will come when I can smile again. Just 1 step at a time.
