Midnight Lights
Olivia's mother told her to go to sleep by nine so that she would wake up on time to get ready for the next day. But just like every night Olivia stayed awake in her room waiting for midnight.
Every night at exactly midnight the most beautiful rainbow of colorful lights would shine through her bedroom window, and stretch over her floor, and the foot of her bed. They would dance across her walls, and even reach to the ceiling.
Tonight Olivia wanted to try something special. So as soon as he rmother's footsteps faded away down the hall, she got up and pulled a homemade shandelier of glass prisms out from under her bed.
Olivia hung her project in front of her window, and went back to her bed. She was very eager to see how this would affect the lights.
When midnight finally arrived the lights came, as always, but this timeThey were different.
They were amplified to be ten times brighter. And as the brilliant colors spread over every surface in her room, some of them seemed to take the forms of beautiful dancers, in stunning outfits, dancing on her floor, walls ceiling, and even reaching to her desk. They performed different moves and twirls, some of them even danced different styles.
But once the clock struck one am, all the colors quickly faded, and her room was just like normal.
