Come Into Existence

& I told her

thank you for creating

human life because her son is

the greatest part of mine.

& I gave her

pictures of her son and I,

so she knows she made those toothful grins

come to life.

& I could never tell her

thank you enough

for giving birth to her son

If I didn't have him,

I’m not quite sure who I’d become.

& I could tell her

she raised him well to respect

and believe in girls like myself.

& I think she already knows

as a mother, she didn’t fail

her son is identical to

a guardian angel.

& all mothers like her should be told

they are special even more so on a regular day.

Think about what they do for the world; it’s a miracle.

& all mothers I have to say

thanks a billion times

for having endured the aches and pains

of childbirth it’s truly superhuman skills.

& all mothers who haven’t been told

Your beloved, I say you are a billion times

because you are responsible

for having created a human life.
