Aphantasia

"How do you do it - write this beautiful world I can see in my mind?" they ask.

I shrug. "I can't really explain."

"You must have a great imagination," they press.

"Actually, it's called Aphantasia."

I watch their face contort as they realize that my mind's eye is blind.
