Loving Nature

He smiled, sweet and kind

He walked, light and fast

I lifted my head, and found mistletoe

I kissed him softly under fake snow

We could hear people gasping, and the music

We could smell the ginger in the cookies

We could taste the cream and apple and wine

But all we could feel was each other

And the loving nature of a beating heart
