What is this what is that

What is it like to get hit by a bat

It's the feeling of utter pain

A pain from which you see no gain

All is lost within the fear

You'll feel like the end is near

Never knowing what it applies

Or what it all defies

Maybe you don't ask this and it's just me

That might be why you don't see

How much pain can one carry

Without the feeling or need to bury

Bury all your feelings so no one will see

See what it means to me

This is how I feel

As if not a thing is real

For now I guess I'll hide

Hide what is truly inside
