Shame in My Lover

From where i stand

I am in cognizance

My lover is in disguise

He's in my skies

Darkening my heavy clouds

He's in my grounds

Digging away my planted roots

He's in my void

Drawing in his chaos

He's within me

Eating away my forsaken soul

Oh, the shame!

What I fear!

And can't seem to bear

My lover is inhumane

For he will destroy

The beauty he comes upon

I no longer stand on bare foot

I'm diminished to my last root
