missing tooth.
It was like going through a yard sale and stumbling upon a dusty Rembrandt.
No one would have thought it was there, between those old, yellowed paintings.
And yet, I found you as though I
had been drawn to you.
There you stood, a lanky awkward boy with hair that constantly fell into your eyes and a small smile that held so many promises and wishes,
I was taken aback by your wonderfully
poetic ferocity.
I inched closer to you and before I could even think about what I was going to say,
you grinned at me, exposing two missing teeth.
