Poppable Paradise

"God DAMN it!

Again?

The whole pill bottle is empty.

Are you crazy?

Don't you understand what you're doing?"

His face is on fire.

Steam escapes from all his cracks,

Hissing louder than the venomous rage spewing from his lips.

All his words float up and away.

Sliced into nothing by the knives of the ceiling fan.

The thick cloud of gray sticks to my skin

Buzzing in every pore

He can't touch me now no matter how hard he swings.

Kaleidoscope colors tiptoeing behind my eyelids.

Breathtaking.

Rhythmically swaying like the ocean.

Rhythm

Breath

Glass tinkles musically inside my skull,

Wind chimes singing just for me.

Breath

Blood trickling from my nose like an early spring stream

Blue

Babbling

Giggling

Gushing

I'm a waterfall

Beautiful.

"Please breath.."

He Called me Bambi

The corner of his mouth lifted slowly into a smirk accompanied by a sly sparkle in his eye. Flames of want burned my lungs and devoured the oxygen that, compared to the need for his touch, was trivial. To know that such a divine creature exists in my life should be enough, but knowing that he can never be mine is the essence of true desire.

Don't you dare kneel over a hunk of marble shouting your woes and spilling your tears. Spend your morning at my favorite beach building me a sandcastle. Hike the over worn trails, climb the tallest trees, watch sunsets in silence . Those moments are where I can be found.
