Robert

Stuffed glory

Man-made companion

My beautiful Robert

In my embrace you laid

In thy bosom I placed my head

My loving and caring Robert

Though you never uttered a word

We spoke countlessly on my bedside

Oiled by my perspiration

Robert my rock star

Your final surgery you failed to survive

My heart bleeds as I place you carefully

A one-way ticket to the dump site

We had a great decade together

Goodbye my dancing teddy

Robert

Lily on the river

My beautiful lily

By the riverside I met you

Blooming in the summer sun

Delicate and sweet lily

Eyes hath not seen thy beauty

The heavens replenish thy frame

Watered by the waters of Bonny

Framed like an enchanted artifact

Thy beauty casteth a spell upon me

Thy purity engulfs my soul

Let me caress thee O lily

Let me tend to you everyday

Let me prune you

Let me baptize you in my liquid

Let me lick the dust off your petals

Lily my lily

By the river you lay

Rising like the morning sun

Love me O Lily

Fred the dog

Fred O Fred

Pure and simple

Never to tell a lie or a riddle

Tossed to and fro by boisterous winds

Let me this day implore O Fred

Let me be your owner

Under the sun you pant and roll

In the rain you hide in shades

Licking the uttermost dirt of Lagos

At nighttime you bark at your neighbors

Habitation of flies and dung

Yet still pure and true

Fred O Fred

Come and be my dog

For even the dogs are more reverred than you

Come on my chap

Be my dog O Fred
