Hello. I've been expecting you. You knocked on the door yesterday and ran away.

I recognize you, but you only show your face when no one else is here.

Are you really here? Then why do you not speak?

The pain in my side slithered into my brain and now I see what is not there.

Death, my sister, greet me and take me with you.

Prose Challenge of the Week #11 in partnership with The Micropoetry Society.
