Peace Amidst the Chaos

The earth is spinning, everyday life is thriving

A news broke out, a pandemic is ongoing

Chaos ensued, people began to panic and hoard

The world changed in a blink, it’s as if it has pulled out a cord

Community quarantines by countries were imposed

Cafes, resorts, cinemas, and even malls were ordered closed

In a moment, the world halted and stood still

The pandemic however, was on a rampage, threatening people to kill

Millions had been affected, leaving countries to tend for themselves

Thousands kept in ventilators, supermarkets had empty shelves

Airplanes were grounded, so were the ships and buses and every transport

Wealthier countries tried helping by giving out support

The world is chaotic, it is full of troubles and fear

Every person holding on to life and anything they hold dear

Anxiety is evident in every person’s pair of eyes

Indeed, this is something no one imagined to arise

In this time of discord and mess, there’s still peace from above

One that makes one’s heart be at ease, a peace filled with love

Coupled with this comfort is a God-given hope

One that tells us that surely, this, we can cope

Into you, Lord, we put our hope and trust

The imbalance, chaos, and pandemic, to You we entrust

Please protect our front liners, please heal our land

Rid us of our every fear, embrace us with Your loving hands

Losing Dreams

I was once an innocent little girl

I dreamed a lot of things, things to achieve

I thought that once I grew, I'd get what I want

Things I had dreamt, things meant for me

As the seasons had changed, so did I

The dreams I had for myself, soon were gone

What people told me to do, I just do

What they want seemed to become what I "want"

As I loved and as I took responsibility

It seemed like I slowly lost the real me

I don't know now what I truly wanted

I don't know now, what future I had once dreamt for me

Explore the concept of Silence in a poem...
We explored time before, now the silence...

The Answer

You kept asking questions

You kept looking for answers

You kept on begging

Kept on wanting to know why

Only one answer was given

One that explains everything

And yet at the same time nothing

Silence

It had you frustrated

It had you at peace

A paradox

Just silence

Silence

Got me questioning

Got me wondering why, why?!

I just heard silence

Happy

"Smile, you are happy."

Words echoing in my mind

Someday I'll believe

Rain of Happiness

As happy tears fell

So did the rain from the sky

Oh, let's celebrate!

Nature Says It All

I looked with my eyes

Amazed by Your majesty,

The work of Your hands

Oh, how great and good You are,

The Earth declares Your glory!

Victorious

Incomparable

Indeed, overflowing joy

Happiness I've seen

Bright brown eyes, that sparkling glow

Depression you've overcame

Beyond Distance

Distance between us

Trust and care, it binds us two

Someday, I'll see you

Why?

I wonder why

We never talked

We never cleared

Things out

I wonder why

We never tried

One more chance

Another shot

I wonder why

We just stopped

Left things

As they are

I wonder why

You never came

Never asked

To come back

I wonder why

Just full of why's

I'll never know

Not a chance
