metamorphosis (being genderfluid)

i. bug

i am a boy and i am a girl and i am nothing and everything.

i've known this for a couple of years, that i was more than

what met the eye. i am divinity, transcending the notion of

gender (but for now, i'm a high school student with a 67% in math).

ii. cocoon

my girlhood is delicate and my boyhood sacred,

i cut my hair to look like feminine guys and i dress

in baggy clothes to look like masculine girls

i am a star studded navy blue sky on a hot july night, and

a good book that you read at the end of a long day.

i'm a laugh shared with your closest friends and the kiss

you plant on your lover's forehead every night

iii. butterfly

coming to terms with my body and my gender will be

the hardest thing i've ever had to do but

i'm working on it!
