goodbye,

I'll always miss you

and I'll always love you

although i know you don't feel the same way.

despite all of the pain

and all of the heartache,

i don't wish any of the memories away.

“Goodbye,” I whined, though you could not hear me.

I screamed in pain, though my body was fine. How could I not, when you closed the door before I could say goodbye?

"Bye!" He waved to me, a smile on his face.

If you had told me that this was the last thing he'd ever say to me, I wouldn't believe you.

A few hours later, I got a phone call. He had gotten hit by a car and the doctors didn't think he'd make it.

This voice echoed in my head.

"Bye!"
