Two Mummies ‘r’ better than one

The guard whistled

as he walked past

the ancient exhibit

he stopped to gaze

at the different artifacts~

The ancient maps that

showed the location of

the great pyramids of Giza,

the Nile, and the different

images of the Egyptian hieroglyps

All the sights amazed him

he decided to stop and

continued moving past the

ancientEgyptian display

then someting pulled him down

he checked and tugged on the

old, dusty, piece of cloth~ he

thought he was losing his mind

euh! maybe he needed to take a nap

he really needed it after all the work

that he was putting in taking care

of the museum & the displays

he started to leave, he failed to move- again— he checked his feet and found the piece of cloth wrapped around his

ankles, he pulled the cloth away

this time he felt the cloth tighten with

a lot of strength & it started wrapping itself around his body.....................the guard screamed, all for naught

early in the morning, there was a new addition to the ancient Egyptian exhibit~ the mummy had a buddy to keep him company all day, every day!

Don’t Hold Your Breath

You startle awake in the night

The clock reads three

Your nightmare still circling through your head

Breathing heavily

Inhale

Exhale

In

Out

In

You stop breathing

The sound of panting does not

You now know it is there

And it knows you are aware

Fear the Dark

All I remember is that it was cold

I don’t remember when it happened

Or even where I was

But it was cold

Not the temperature, but rather, inside of me

Inside I felt a cold over whelm me

It was like nothing I had ever felt before

It was pure fear

The fear that monsters and demons feed off of

It was so vivid and surreal

Just black and cold

I couldn’t make a sound

And there was no one out there to hear me

Then, I felt my heart drop

I woke up in a sweat

And from somewhere, in my pitch black room

I could feel something watching me

Not someone, but something

Something dark and evil

That “thing” lives in the darkest corners

So, as a rule of thumb

I fear the dark and that thing living in it

FEAR

Workload made me late,

I descended stairs to find a lock downstairs.

'Repairs' note hung outside.

I saw a girl passing by,

hey, listen help..shouts I.

Noise of the welding machine neutralizes my voice.

Phone vibrates... battery 5%.

I searched rooms one by one

to find myself all alone.

A loud click... light is gone.

I panicked as I cannot breathe in darkness.

I stood near a window,

a dim light shone.

I saw a welding man,

our eyes met and he smiled

and went back to work.

His quirky smile made me cold with fear,

whirlpool of suspicious thoughts engulf my mind.

I heard a cracking sound,

door opened from outside.

I stayed hidden.

"Anyone there?" I could hear.

I feared to go near.

He bolted the door back.

'closed for weekend' the note read.

What is scary to you?

Do I really care?

Scary might be a body turned blue

Covered in feline hair.

But maybe what scares you most,

is something out of you hand,

your son's corpse splayed out on a wooden post,

or a bandstand without a band?

For me, though, that's nothing,

my demon's deeper down,

for every time I see my face,

I force myself to drown.

I haven't been successful yet,

much to everyone's dismay,

alas, I failed to kills myself,

and the real fear sets it: I must stay.

bloody valentine

i’ll hold my breath,

like i’m holding your corpse.

he came for us both,

but you saved my life.

god, damn it all,

you’re going cold,

i’m sorry i can’t call no one

he’s still here.

i’m sorry i can’t be with you,

though my end is drawing near.

he’s coming up the staircase now,

i hear the scraping blades,

these handles never were too sturdy,

the blades are clanging,

you’ve bled through your shirt.

should i let him take me?

will you be waiting for me?

here they come,

they look so much like you,

i see them night and night again,

but this time feels so new.

wait, hold on for just a moment,

he’s never come this close,

this body that i’m holding

is not the one i know,

who is this wide eyed wanderer

who’s held me close at night,

why is this man so much closer now

but not a man at all,

why is this man so close to me

the woman i’ve loved so long?

oh, god, it hurts,

it stings and shreds,

my chest is bleeding out for once,

but it’s black and blue, not red.

you’ve never come this close to me,

nor sliced me like your pie,

i guess that’s what our vows did say,

though i’m the one to die.

Yellow

Yellow.

The color of the suns rays.

but you said it was more like the color of my teeth.

"Yellow as hay"

You said i looked bad in yellow.

Correction "THE WORST" in yellow.

Then you snickered and walked away with your friends.

well i saw your friends today, they lost their mellow.

Today i saw molly crying in the panic room

After she learned about what you did to yourself.

The whole schools invited to your church tonight

cant wait to spread the weallth

i skip down the halls of my school

ages after the bells ring

in my bright yellow sundr

so happy i could sing

i hop in my car

and drive downtown

who would have thought

that you'd choose to drown

i park and skip to where you lay

bending over to read your grave

a flower in hand and smile on my face

"i'm thankful for the way you've paved."

i place the bright yellow flower on her dirt

"I hope you like it, I wore it just for you"

my dress flows, as i hear her screams under the dirt

"and no one will ever know, it wasn't your choice boo."

My Nightmare

Night after night I watch them die,

My children, my parents, my wife and I.

Crossing a pond in the dead of winter,

A skidoo roars by and the ice starts to splinter.

There’s nowhere to run.

Ice covers the sun.

We all fall through.

Into the water so blue.

I can see them now as they struggle for air.

Eyes filled with horror and then a blank stare.

We sink to the bottom,

We’re all going to die,

My children, my parents, my wife and I.

Which Path Do You Choose?

Golden eyes stare at you from beyond Yonder

Icy wind

cracks and crazes the enamel

of nearby trees

whose leaves never grow

no matter the season

their branches bare of any fruit

As if condemned by God

All the while

Crows sit on their doomed branches

and silently stare at you

In the distance lies mysterious man

with deep, gut-wrenching looking scars on his face

And he's carrying an ax

Which path do you choose?

The one that leads to the Golden eyes,

the one where hundreds of Crows silently stare at me,

or the one where the mysterious man with the ax awaits me

Too late to turn back

Which path do you choose?

Which path do you choose?

Woke up in the attic,

too much brain static,

noises going "thump" in night.

Quietly I'm creepin',

too much blood seepin',

hiding right in plain sight.

Too much blood seepin',

on the edge of a knife,

I can feel your pain ebb away.

You can't do a damn thing,

throat slashed can't scream,

what did you want to say?

Sirens are-a-blarin',

neighbors just-a-starin',

rotting corpses out on display.

Grass stained red,

a de-bodied head,

and 23 more on the next street.

Nothing can be done,

slash and kill and run,

praying that we will never meet.

Waiting in a basement,

victims being sent,

you're not prepared for this.

Killer lives inside,

you cannot hide,

Call me Dr. Jeckle Mr. Hyde.
