America’s Energy

I look the part

Egyptian whore

Whose eyes

Are rimmed in kohl.

With aching back

And worn pick axe

I mine Kentucky coal.

It may be true

I raped the earth

To earn my master's gold.

I did it all

To earn my bread-

On the pitch for the rich, I goaled.

You label me a Gangster

Like I "chose" this destiny

But the O.G.

(Original Gangster)

To fear

Is America's "Inner G."

A Tale of Yore

The knight heir stares into

the night air.

The mourning son prays to

The morning sun.

One piece would have

Won peace!

No hymn made you

Know him.

         Dear Soul,

                   Lie in hole.

                          To you I owe.

The Isle of Piscaboom

There isn't a soul on Piscaboom,

Their sails are set, Come about the boom!

They're leaving now from certain tomb,

On the isle of Piscaboom.

Upon the ship I hold my son,

Across the aisle I watch the sun,

Drop o'er the paths where we did run,

On the isle of Piscaboom.

Across the water fair we cried,

Watched the beach where others died,

Ash and smoke their faces dyed,

On the isle of Piscaboom.

Ernest the Earnest Man

Ernest was an earnest man,

Who knew the difference

Between then and than.

Well Suited for the popery,

But settled for some potpourri.

He thew some in a decorative bowl,

When through the door he

Expected company to flow.

He placed his specs upon his nose,

To search out places

Specks of dust might grow.

He built his house on a stake of land,

And sat down to a steak dinner, fork in hand.

Yellow Bears

"They're over there."

"Where?"

"Over there -see my stare?

It's a pair of yellow bears,

By the pears, past the stairs.

You know the stairs so full of wear and stripped of paint that now they're bare?"

"No I don't, I do not care."

"Well you're due to change your mind.

For I'm sure you'll never find

That from shore to sea

No eye has seen

What I have just described."

Bow

"Is that a Bow"

"Yes."

"What a lovely bow, but should it not be on a ship?"

"Well that's because i'm making a bow out of a bow, a bow bow if you will."

"Well what is it for."

"Well it can also turn into a bow and shoot arrows."

"Really, and will you present it?"

"Yes, and after I present I will take a bow with my bow bow and make a bow."
