mortality is scary. 

However, throughout 

the last few weeks,

months, I have come 

to see it in the face. 

This is not an act 

of weakness or a 

loss of control. 

It is quite the

opposite. 

It is because I have 

been so fortunate that 

I am able to make 

my decision. It is 

because I have loved 

and been loved 

that I am able to 

let go with grace. 

With my body, 

my sense 

of time and distance 

will degrade. 

I will be in a state 

of love 

and contentment.

My faith 

and commitment 

to you and our God 

will not parish.
