Mostly Closely

You cannot see me

If I cease to be

Closely

Cannot hear my plea

When I'm absentee

Mostly

If I try to flee

Escape, I am free

Ghostly

Living dead

dimming, dying light

quickly falls the night

dark skies

muted, dull not bright

you, fading from sight

stark eyes

stormy pools of fright

mirror of the plight

death's guise

Think, think, think.

waltz tempo mind loop

how to make it work

not shirk

five syllables fine

but the lines with two

won’t do

pooh bear, I love you

why hurt me so? Oh,

bother

pestilence

swallowing the seed

all a virus needs

to feast.

growing like the weed

it spreads and it breeds,

a beast.

never will concede

seeking that which bleeds

'til ceased.

and its violence we feed

with our selfish greed,

palms greased.

while covering deeds

they sell us their creed

like priests.

the virus proceeds.

and we let it speed

unpoliced.

Guts

Pour the innards out,

Guts spill blood like spouts,

Bleeding.

Curse my stupid clout,

I can barely shout!

Cheating.

Gambled full amounts,

Money dries in droughts.

Pleading.

old mirror presents

human I resent,

horror;

one, only event-

ful choices repent-

ed, or

twice I'd've been sent

pouring heaven's bent,

towards her

feed

I want to come eat

I need to have meat

Concede

Retire me a treat

Chew messy or neat

Fill greed

Empty gut defeat

Give up in elite

Can't plead

Led Astray

'Twas born in a land,

where fates are all planned.

No say,

wasn't sure where I'd stand,

no room to expand.

Must obey,

in the scheme of grand,

don't bring sand to sand.

No way.
