Earth

Earth... Because of how beautiful it could be, and because trees grow out of the earth. Really, the earth could be very beautiful... I love forests and countrysides and nature. In my opinion, cities ruin nature's beauty. Earth... What does it remind you of? It reminds me of mud beneath your toes, and of dirt's earthly smell. I love the earth, and always will.

Water

Water is such a fascinating substance. It has no shape, but will take whatever shape you put it in. It has no flavor, but you can add whatever flavor you like, and as much as you like. It can bring life, but also destroy.

Much like water, I'm very good at "changing my shape." I mold and bend my personality so that it fits in with whoever I am with at that moment. Therefore, I have many friends, with many backgrounds and experiences.

I am the caregiver personality type. My friends come to me when they are upset because they know I will listen, and offer advice. I "give life." But I can also destroy. Everyone has a breaking point. When I reach mine I crash down like a tsunami, and can cause damage to not only myself, but the people around me.

But aside from all that, water rejuvenates me. It brings me back to life. I can't go too long without going swimming because I literally go into withdrawels. I get physically ill, and my tolerance for stress goes way down. But as soon as my feet touch the water, it's like coming home. All of my stress and pain is swept away as if caught in an ocean current.

Earth. I'm at my best when I'm feeling grounded and rooted.

Fire of life

Like fire, I used to destroy things I touched.

Quite often actually. It was the destruction that lead me to fire's good qualities.

It's warm, warmth keeps us alive in cold situations.

Like a Phoenix fire rebirths aspects of the world,

A garden when burnt provides new healthier plants.

Lost cities, burnt to the ground to make way for something new and different.

By destroying, you can create again.

Passion is more often than not described as an intense flame within us.

All of these things are characteristics of myself, that's why I choose fire.

Air. I'm not the most rigid person on the planet, head always in the cloud.

Living Liquid

Water. Fluid, yet a basic building point for many elements. Many creatures are alike in their need for water. I feel calm in water, though not an expert swimmer

It gives as much as it is available.

Earth

Because I am solid and sturdy, but still able to change. Because I am happy to simply be. Because when I am a jumbled up mess, I go outside, past the cars and houses to the edge of the woods, and listen.

Elemental Fire

Fire is all about energy and spontaneity. Fire gives us warmth and comfort, utility and power, drive and explosiveness. Fire let us survive the Ice Age. The Earth and all planets originate from the Fire that is our Sun. And all galaxies and superclusters originate from the Fire that is the Big Bang's explosion - the pure energy dancing and manifesting in accordance with the cosmic will. I choose Fire, in short because Fire can be harnessed to ensure safety for everyone. And safety is good. And Fire is just beautiful, if nothing else.
