dream a little dream

She walked on planets and touched the stars.

Her imagination; a wild and cosmic ride.

I gravitated towards her like a wayward star being pulled into a massive black hole.

I couldn’t resist.

So I laid back on a small cloud and watched her dream a little dream.

Unconditional

The saying goes, “I love you to the moon and back”

But hey, why come back?

There doesn’t have to be an end

Because darling,

I love you forever

Selene

there was no moon out the night i met you

it was like it had been swallowed whole, hidden

underneath the night sky. and with it, everything

was swallowed in its darkness. no stars peeked out,

no streetlights flickered, there was nothing except

absolute oblivion. i was losing myself in that oblivion.

can i sit next to you?

it's lonely sitting by yourself.

but. then i saw you. and it was like the world lit up.

there were constellations in your eyes, supernovas

clinging to your cheeks. comets tangled up in the

strands of your hair. you were mesmerizing, as if

you were the one who had taken the night sky.

what's your name?

my name is selene.

i only saw you when the night sky was barren,

only saw your smile when everything around

was enshrouded in pitch black. but you were

always shining, always bright when everything

was dark. it was as if you came in my darkest times.

i'll come visit you.

so you won't be lonely anymore.

and i should've realized it then.

the reason why the moon and stars were swallowed

into oblivion the nights i saw you. the reason why

shooting stars shot across your irises. the reason why

it seemed like you stole the briliance of the night. i should've

realized that you and i were destined to be starcrossed.

do you know what that constellation is called?

it's called lyra.

only i realized it too late, and you were gone by then.

we were never meant to be. and i am left grasping for you

in my oblivion.

my name?

my name is sol.

There’s always something

about the moon

how it unravels the doubts

I live with in my mind

I’ve said I want you

with a closed mouth

and I’ve said love with you

makes sense

but it doesn’t

the stars in my sky

don’t align

at the sound of your name

you’ve distracted me from

the storms that sometimes haunt me

but loving you seems

as empty most days

as filling a cabinet with only air

and trying to convince myself

there are no empty spaces.

Empty spaces -{renata ferretti}

The Moon

Whether you are full or just a sliver.

Not at all or eclipse, you are amazing.

The power you inflict on certain people.

Some say the full moon changes people.

Ever notice how people can act on a full moon?

The beautiful glow it casts | on water.

The array of colors it can be.

So many different name for moon cycles and types.

A personal favorite is the harvest moon.

Things that can change the moon.

Live where there are forest fires.

The moon takes on a apocalyptic form

All red and hazy from smoke.

Sad reasoning but beautiful site.

A full moon coming over a mountain range.

Beautiful site to behold.

I don't know about you, but the moon has always fascinated me.

Light-years

A day is a million miles,

A leap, a dash, a dream.

Weeks are hopes inspired,

Wishes and promises made

Unseen.

One month leads to two,

then seven and eight.

Light still shines on the morrow,

Glinting off doubt's sharp blade.

Though just as close as yesterday,

Years and years away.

We aspire to borrow time,

to reach the next star over.

the moon

I often wonder

What is so special about the moon?

It is basically a ball a darkness

disguising itself as light

stealing from the sun

giving what doesnt belong to it

talk about the greatest lie of all time

iiOr shall I say the greatest thief of all time

it's the devil in disguise

But then

I guess better the devil you kknow than the angel you don't

Right?
