his darker moments hiding in the fading light
of a Winter’s heavy sigh,
leaves will soon fall,
spreading as if a thick blanket on the cold stone pavement
a gentle welcome for the first soft snow
you see, he was born in the days that spoke of short hours
and too long nights
the green of his glassy windows
the only sign of a longed awaited spring
Autumn Leaf
Grasses waving at the soft orange sunsets,
You and I laying next to each,
counting
shapes of clouds…
Some southwest wind
whispering a long forgotten ancient story,
buried underneath some faraway waters near the horizon,
deep rosy dream mixed with some azure green past life memories.
The whole world suddenly seemed so quiet.
We finally
give up fighting,
surrendering the self to the wind…
Dappling golden orange sunlight,
softly and gently wrapping its gossamer wings around
our autumn breath.
Let’s close our eyes,
take a brave jump…surrender and
dive into this mysterious unknown.
Allow gravity take full control, and empty out
those inundating story-lines,
allow trains of thoughts slowly drifting off the old records’ tracks…
Allow the chill autumn wind,
to sweep off our feet.
Hearts plunge deeper into
this season of changing colors.
Brave child,
let’s go sky-diving, together
spinning like an autumn leaf.
Spreading our wings wider,
dancing, spinning, and
singing our hearts on and on--
the song of earth
and our journey
back home.
