Percocet is combination of two active ingredients: oxycodone and acetaminophen. Acetaminophen belongs to a group of drugs called analgesics (pain medications) and antipyretics (drugs that lower a fever). Oxycodone belongs to a group of drugs called narcotic analgesics. Percocet is used to relieve moderate to relatively severe pain, including conditions associated with fever.
