When the historic marriage of Ram and Sita, took place three more marriages.Two were arranged marriages(of Bharath-Mandavi and Shatrughnan-Shruthikeerthi), while the other two couples fell in the first sight.

We all know the story of Ram and Sita but Who were this other pair.

The great warrior accompanied Ram till he accepted his death for disobeying and entering kings chamber during a meeting.

Who was this mighty warrior who killed the great AthiMahaRathi Meghnath(Indrajit)?

Did he made it himself?

If not who was behind him?

Who gave him the power to kill such great warrior who possessed the 3 mighty weapons?

‘LAKSHMAN!LAKSHMAN!LAKSHMAN!’

But his power was his one and only love “URMILA”.

When sage Vishwamitra took Lord Rama with him to end the troubles and hindrances created by Tadka, Lakshman accompanied them. He joined the pair to Mithila to attend Mother Sita’s swayamvar. What happened there?

The people of Mithila were so happy to see the two mesmerising princes.

Just before entering the palace they saw 4 gorgeous girls hiding behind the pillars trying to catch a glipmse.

They were the 2 daughters of Janak and his brother’s.

The brothers just saw the two princess or the daughters of the king.

One was the famous Sita. Who was the other?

The other girl was mesmerised by the younger prince.

He too seemed to be gazing at her.

What was this mesmerisation?

Was it just attraction or was this some age old connection?

Have they ever met before?

If so where?

Long ago in Vaikuta Lord Vishnu woke from his penance to get goddess Lakshmi back after a curse by Rishi Brighu.

As he woke he saw a bright Nagkumar. He understood that the Nagkumar was his incarnation Ananth.

He asked the Nagkumar,"What do you want my son?". The Nagkumar who was waiting for the grace of Lord for a long time said,"My Lord, I just want the honour of serving you". The Lord was very happy with his politeness and granted him the boon, but is the task easy?

As the lord granted his boon, Ananth was very happy.

He asked,"what shall I do now my lord?". The lord smiled and said,"just adjust your body as I twist it.

Sheshnag was confused. He asked,"what do you mean my lord?". The lord gave a polite smile and called him near. As the serpent went near him he started squeezing and twisting his body.

The process was very painful, which lead the Nag cry.

As the Nagraj cried his tear drops fell into the ocean of milk.

As the drop fell a beautiful maiden came from the ocean of milk. Sheshnag was mesmerized by her appearance.

She brought 2 beautiful baby girls whose eyes were lustrous. The woman said,"Nagraj I am Nagalskhmi or Ksheera a form of this unending ocean of milk, these girls are our daughters, who were born when your tear drops fell in the Ksheerasagar".

As Sheshnag saw the girls, he was dumbstruck.

Both the children were very beautiful. They were named Sunaina and Sulochana due to their beautiful eyes.

Sunaina was adopted by Lord Mahadev. The girl grew into a beautiful woman and married king Jananka of Mithilapuri. Sulochana on the other hand grew as the naga princess and was betrothed to prince Jayantha of heaven.

But her marriage was extending due to the war between Devas and the Rakshas. The prince of Rakshasas, Megahnatha has won the war and made the king of hevean in the name of Indrajith(one who won over Indra the lord of heaven). Sulochana heard about the powerful prince and fell in love for him. Thus, one day she left her house.

Meghnath was very happy as he has become Indrajith the conquerer and king of heaven.

He had a boon, due to which only the person who is awake for 14 years can kill him. He came to know that Seshnag due the power of hibernation had the power to kill Meghnath.

He was thinking of ways using which he could befriend Sheshnag. But, Sheshnag was a half brother of Indra. He was thinking of different ways to join hands with him.

Suddenly while going out he saw a beautiful maiden. He was mesmerized by her beauty, he asked,"my lady, who are you, and what are you doing here?". The girl saw the great warrior and thought whether to say about her or not, after thinking she told,"my lord, I am Prameela or Sulochana, one of the daughters of Nagaraj Ananth, my family wants me to marry Jayant the son of Indra, but I love someone else, so I came out of my home". Hearing this Meghnath asks,"whom do you wish to marry?"

Prameela says,"Indrajith Meghnath". Meghnath is head over heels the moment he heard it. The girl whom he liked the moment he saw was coming for him. His happiness knew no bounds.

As soon as Meghnath heard these words, he was completely in the influence of Prameela.

He wanted her, he needed her, she was now his life. She was holding his breath in both the ways.

He was not able to remove his gaze from her. He wanted her more than anything. She was his life, he wanted her to spend his life with and also save him from her father.

He never imagined all his wishes would come true one day suddenly like this. He introduced himself to her and Prameela's eyes went wide she blushed and bowed her head. He took her with him and bonded in a marriage. She was now the new queen of heaven.

But will this be for ever?

Will they lead a happy life?

How will Seshnag react?

Another version says that Meghnath was not satisfied with the heaven and also wanted to conquer the underworld ruled by the nagas.

He went to the pathal Lokh and was opposed by its king Adhishesh. They both had a terrific fight, which was unending.

Both were using poison and lethal weapons. Then Meghnath told Seshnag that only a person who stays sleepless for complete 14yrs and also remains a Brahmachari during the period can kill him. He then kidnaps his daughter and marries her.

Sheshnag vows to kill him one day by any means
