bottomless

the floor expanded,

immense latex plane, broad as the mall itself

"stand erect!" it challenged me

its perpetual stretches' monstrous grid's rubberized respiration

mingled my perspiration's escape's desperation vain

malignant belt's rolling manic undulation extorting adulation

swallows souls into its elastic core, its goal

i spied the exit door, this skyscraper's eleventh floor

lost balance entwined with vertigo

physics mocked my naked dance with her

she spreads herself apart like swollen super heated wax

a monster schism's evil bend

ambidextrous stretch, her prey elongates her womb

my being's atoms' mass a million tons each

immobile rendered, violated tendered

i spin awareness heightened

dante's hell enlightened

floor has me in its hold

compressed hundredfold

up is down, down not found

swim as drown with nausea's bile

elastic surreal, awareness spastic

thoughts taste like dross

reality's loss makes madness a black hole

nothing escapes its bottomless warp

whose floor opens Pandora wide

memories have not passed

softly, radiantly the white sparkle of light flashes

streams through ionic gas atmosphere

to land, to cling

adhere and reflect

onto and off your pearly skin

to flicker past fast

to dance upon your face '

bright smiling shining innocence of love

another time gone by in lower latitude

i remember see

the mile high cumulus cloud

pillar rises majestically

upward to sky of turquoise, aqua baby blue

reminding me of you

from there i walked for on and on

past many endless trees across the inland sea

under innumerable lonely stars and midnight moons

pursued by the ghost of you

lulled by the haunted voice of inner me in solitude

and reached

past across the zenith dome of equinox zone

light of northern hemispheric sun

aurora's yellow blues in greenish light

the wind frigid ionic spins

violently against the boughs of needled trees

arctic chill of frozen tundra mass

you remain my stalwart faithful only lass

and far into the distance

immense rotations of centered memory

still command my grasp of you

cause release my morbid fears repressed

rely upon your loving hope instead

abandon freedom of my own

seek the shelter of you

my loving hope dares to go

follow you i pass

into the everlasting arms of you at last

another mundane Day

the sidewalk lays below my feet,

familiar cracks upon its white hard surface

concrete flat, stretched parallel the distant street

adjacent the asphalt road opaque, heavy black

to the intersection block's traffic light's aluminum post's suspension

geometric intrusion's accompaniments on another near dawn walk

mindless jaunt to the corner fast 'N go convenience store

tree roots rip slowly through, over century's time

buckled chunks, concrete's stowed,

gnarled, thick lipped ledged

sloped askew, blind man's nightmare maze

expose the black dark crevices below, out of which ants, one or two,

forage for things unseen, unknown to my prodding eye

a rolly polly bug of sorts, potential prey, of ant lion saunters,

careful i am to avoid its crush by my awkward strayed feet

elm trees whose culprit roots, like sentries line this sidewalk

of repetitious over years' sundry walks

their shades allow me passage cool,

of summer soltice humid blanket pall of air

cooler than direct of sun whose rays pierce

like the bluejay's mischief stare awaits my near approach

my privacy peace of mind to take

as well my shiny ball point pen to take

its glare would soon as warm me hot

stare me down without the leaves of cover by my sheltered walk

the ambulance i hear before i see it

flashing red of warning lights

vibrates my sidewalk far before its thunderous approach

vibrates my inner ear and latex sandaled feet

my brain alert to inherent adrenaline carefulness cautions vulnerability

there goes me it speaks its dread anxiety sublime

destroy my modicum of calm, obscures the threat of perched bird above

only a matter of time before i too fall

into the crevice of the earth like the sidewalk crack

like the rolly polly bug pursued by ants

like the ants that forage oblivious to tread of flip flopped man

outside their universe inflicts them unintended warp time harm

only a matter of time before i reach my fast 'N go convenience store

whose parking lot now swarms with cherry lights, blue and white flashes'

in midst of teeming hordes of human crowds ambulance in tow

swirling restlessness, oh, ignorance be bliss

i reached across the chasm of time

to apprehend a grasp of my place

in the immeasurable wheel

of functional existence

found it a drywell

for my dysfunctional storm of restlessness

oh, rocky orb, broken earth

my thoughts faltered untamed

by my fallen imperfect's waste

where the vain of senseless tastes leave faint trace of insignificance

without purpose, looms the shallow waterboards

with their malignant threat of drowning's extinction

bad frame of mind

in this anonymous milieu

of thing called life,

its ubiquitous collective conscienceness, so called,

for its minutia of particles of what is called reality,

whereas in truth there is none,

no real truth apart from his,

the creator,  blessed be his name

the fool talks loud, sits on his brass idol and frowns at his own works, disdained

the fruit thereof worthless gain

exhaust not yourself in such mindless frames of empty mind that leads to nothingness

blind ear, false heart,

deaf eyes will never see

spend not yourself, nor exhaust the fruit of energy upon that chaff

look across the chasm's hold

upon the dark of humans' works

far off into the distance i see penetrating through my soul

the hungry eyes of threatening ones who'd like a piece of my strength, my will,

to start another war

i must find myself a place of rest far from the beaten's paths

deep within the crags of rocks surrounded by the green of shrubs

of lounging creatures lain at rest breathing in the air's sweet best

the granules of rippled sand

by blowing winds far from the sight of city crowds

untainted by footprints weapons of war and greed

here there is no need for electron feeds

the yaqui indians knew it best

my heart will never fit the mold established by specialized science' roads

i am like a bird caged in bars of iron rusted mold

slay my yearnings for wings of freedom

a word, a text of praise, sugar and fluff

will never do to quench my thirst

i search to renew my every endeavor to maintain a satisfied composure

instead i find superficial film, micromillimeters thick

it vaporizes at my glance tormenting me to take a chance

between life and eternal death

only to escape sudden boredom and murky vexation

inevitably, I exhaust in prayer

waiting for the end of this age

the new dawn, fulfillment of

peace on earth, good will toward men

world spent

i crawled out of a tunnel today

the glare of the sun scorched my tongue

my eyes became tasteless an' sore

even boredom deserted me

loneliness coerced an impulse,

i picked up the newspaper and found it empty

like a trash bin after pickup

the morning's errands tripped me in a blind spot

the lid blew off my patience

aching my muscles an' making my head spin

my nerves twitched an' made me reckless

almost got killed in a near accident

mortality extorted me,

i peered deep into the depths of time

using my mind, ignoring my schedule

its lack of bliss held my breath hostage

when fear tried to wake me

from what i thought was sleep

an e mail informed me it was real

a need for calm promised relief;

i tried to relive what i had dreamed

in deja vu six hours ago

a package arrived at the door

its contents required assembly

my fingers were still stiff

from work on yesterday's hammering

the package slipped,

something broke inside

i read somewhere that four diseases were cured this year

on page nine, i read ten more were newly discovered

out of control, a threat to humanity

but science would prevail

a great chunk of my hope melted

like global warming's glaciers

i caught a frozen glimpse of where i'd fall

for the last time;

i stumbled across the floor

and tried to find myself in the broken mirror

a piece of me shot me a fragmented look

that's all it took

for me to to crawl back to bed

Bridges

freedom's bridge for man does lie

between earth and heaven's chasm vast

unseen by men, but few

angelic beings' reality, man's freedom key

freedom's bridge for man spans hell

whose flames pearled girders lick

its myriad trusses majestic arches stretch

to infinite edge of space

Jacob's ladder spanned to bridge

separation between God and him

beheld spirit beings traversing there

electronic apps for man do bridge

interface between Cloud and his race

internet's marvel communique

if all men's eyes could see, as angels do

man would form an app

search a way to bridge the gap

between God and him

in this hidden world

i walked along the river on the day's borrowed time,

i breathed the alpine air for what i thought a last time

images floated in my mind like a misty veil

the waters' swirling eddies silently flowed awaiting snow's melt,

a void burst within my breast, a hardened plane, rock weight it seemed

the stillness stared at me and asked what was wrong with me

i said, "everything, i cannot find peace as i feel the suffering,

there's people throughout the world wanting to get in,

into my head i feel, into my space i have to share

what they don't have with them

wanting safety, death's violent filthy face to escape

they're only asking is for food and shelter, all from me i feel

a means to earn their keep,

overwhelming a break i need 'fore my head does burst

i have enough to worry 'bout my own

the still of the day did not respond, i walked on as the minutes ticked by

measured by my footsteps in this hidden idyllic world of gems and nakedness

then the river spoke and said, "i hear your cry, i run the course just as you,

mine is to flow downward's pull, master gravity propels me along

heeding the Lord of the universe' call,

i will quench and cleanse the mouths and purge

and fill the emptiness and the lakes and ponds,

i will grow black in some men's filth in my run,

in the end before my fall into chambers deep and wide on land's fall,

i will enter into the oceans and its seas myself be cleansed

with the lord's command rise up to the heavens' first sky atmosphere

invisible by his sun's obeisance and move along carried

by my shapes called clouds and make another run until

i'm told to turn to ice, snow, rain and river run again

i plod on as rain clouds gather high, temperature drops

on i plod along the snowy banks of fallen freezing snow

reminiscent of my own paths of mounded labyrinthic cleaves

lost misplaced, misdirected distraction's depths of lone wanderlust

creation speaks, i hear voices well deep inside my frozen chest

"i am of flesh and blood, not mineral plant or animal

endowed with divine lit powers in his image made

with a will, mine he's given and with it bend the present and the future

change the course of streams and history, effect on time and space

find a place, provident niche, affect my fellow man by chosen grace

return to the race, make a mark for the good however mild

affect a child, woman man like me

to the end of my assignment destiny

vain

i lie helpless, while the machine of winding wind

sullen sky, surging swirling surf

produces cosmic's energy work,

unchecked, inevitably unharnessed

nature's ceaseless moves, heartless machine

perpetually it does its assigned work, yes, it does,

this splendid, beautiful beast, cannot be still

this machine reflects its creator spirit, alpha omega

indefinable, ethereal, purest pure holy word of life eternal

perpetual was, always will, always is, will be, eternity

most high, highest high

she has no limits, within her infinite sphere,

this nature machine; she moves, she builds, breaks and mends

and cycle repeat, perpetual motion machine

has no mind of her own, personified anthropomorphic

like a mother ship with bare breasted prow

chrome emblem in a 50's auto, man built machines,

worshiped adored no less, science mother,

out of caves into marvelous fire freed of stick and stone

borne of man's enlightenment of Godly Renaissance Divine

she rules the earth mechanical, obeisance led governed

"God does not play dice with the universe,"

paraphrased, einstein one time said

in her orbit's dance in frigid space revolving axis swirls

her energy life sustains, gloriously unstatic,

invisibly led by his unseen hand,

she hangs with no observable suspension

mathematical laws by axioms set in glory

no mind can fully fathom, yet praise will times suffice

rocks vibrations, all life quasars sing, little fools mock

even einstein struggled and yielded mind in low humility

to light years' intelligence span of worth

bridging vast gulf between man's knowledge

and cosmic's visible/invisible phenomenon

of nature machines' marvels reflected by her creator's handiwork

i, feeling feeble empty, ponder, living speck of quantum matter

like a dog cocks its head quizzical attribute assigned its canine behavior

so like us humans yet endowed with vast more capacity capable

to understand, yet so much waste upon contentment's urge

to simply plod along the course live die cycle repeat

meaningless sounds of nature purposeless, dull and kill my senses

to eternal end, vain moves of man surround my sense of sight

the touch of empty age advances lonely entropy

it tastes of blank, then moves to hum of vacuum's void

to where and why and how, no questions' end

is that all there is?

patsy cline's sweet voiced asked decades ago

void down low below your sorry navel

can you reach it off your stepping stool?

O wretched small minded atrophied man,

your boast enthroned within

mounted on your paper wall's power receptacle

sustained within your carpeted halls, dimly its feeble lights

on your form and face,

you'll kick and scream when nature is unleashed

by a trumpet's call

how does he who shouts at her complexity dare curse

and yet laugh and smile with face in food and drink

and creature comfort bubble comforts, fist defiant clenched

cash vault sleeps upon his chest;

it crushes on his shriveled naked self

fat encased entombed endowed, his golden cow,

covered in excrement of rust and webs of dust and dirt

face masked of hollow blackness void

flames leap high surround, loudly roar

suck such one in disavows, earthly vice and spoiled forsaken vows

a flicker flash, green grass to brown in instant vaporized

reach out and grasp the hand that helps before too late

oh narrow mind cocooned in spite,

nose held, of no avail, it bleeds

will it help to whine and whelp?

can you stop the force of nature?

in the end, kick and scream on departure's gate

to cross the fiery threshold

O awake! but then again,

who can without his intervention

carried away by a color’s brilliance

plastic fluff of purple divine

blown in by the wind, tattered airy rag tag ball

impaled against the fence, glimmering in the spring sun

catches my eye, wavering strands

thin strips of plastic transparent clear, light seen passing through

violet royal ultra blue stirs 'n vibrates my eyes heart an' soul

delight's joys spill from my chest,

this simple ball of easter basket's fluff

my child's view of gold light full fills,

mind's mirrors reflect all of my sight

purple royal ultra violets what is light,

no dark can take away, carries me away,

i see her with a nest of basket fluff golden straw,

blue sky above flat earth field lays

to horizon's end, wavering white heat waves,

sun's light diffused through pastel blue hues,

silence so thick it rules my ears, vibrate with ringing in the stillness

the speckled eggs of a killdeer's nest on levee's mound

warm with moist air surrounds above, waters terraced below

its lonely crying calls across the vast irrigation's lands no one around

tadpoles, water skeeters abound in the weir's shallow waters, cattails tall

graveled dusty roads to infinity meet diablo foothill mountain range mystery

white dust rouged road, powdered puffed on its back, followed with my eyes

carry me back to former times, memories dance 'round my head

country dizzy delights come alive, her blue jeaned legs' lengthy strides

carried her slim waisted, strong breasted torso, my farmer's girl

her shimmering face bathed in honey amber yellow

country road carry me to her heart of gold, days of old

nostalgia long gone holds, inside folds of my past

her shimmering face bathed in honey amber yellow

antique quiet voices of ghost's in the ground, long gone

telegraph poles worn weathered to infinity

they walk hand in hand with the country road to reach a point far away

carry me past present days, bygone into disappeared history

her shimmering face bathed in honey amber yellow

her antique ghost voice in the ground, long gone

carried to me by a plastic fluff of purple divine

blown in by the wind, tattered airy rag tag ball

pebbles

i threw a pebble in the pond

dumb eyed i stared ’n saw

concentric riffles, ever fluid

rings expanding from its epicenter

plunked

the raging sound of broken stillness

lonely pebble slowly down

settled in the muck

silver rings of plastic water

hit the shore so silently

touched my toes

made me wonder

awash of thoughts, futile grasp

last feeble gasps of world ending

here today, tomorrow gone

alas, last step could be my last

a crashing tsunami oblivion blast

concentric waves of mass humanity

washed ashore for few we cry

lost in pinprick speck of mind

i threw a pebble in the pond

dumb eyed i stared ’n saw

like vaporizing dinosaurs

become the gulf of mexico

extinction of my world
