Nirvana

I sank into the depths of your chocolate eyes,

I drowned in the sea of your caressing voice.

I got lost in the world of your silent promises

and enchanted by the way your lips moved in prayer.

Your fingers floated across the ivory keys

and they traced the world along my spine.

Your eyes lazily dragged across my face,

as if mesmerized by a work of art.

You strummed the strings and tried to sing,

I laughed at the jokes you told.

I cried tears as I shared my past,

you said it made you love me more.

I watched you get down on your knees

and say a fervent prayer for me.

I heard the way you said my name

with reverence and adoration.

I found heaven in your arms my love

and nirvana in our life together.
