My Sister, My Best-friend

We were always there for each other

No matter the time

I have 2 sisters and 1 brother

But none of us are really alike.

We all have our own views even though we grew up similar

Being raised in a home with both parents

In my generation that is a miracle

My youngest sister and I were closest in age

I viewed her only as my sibling

Nothing too weird to make us strange

We slept on the same bed, and followed the same routine

We just weren't close for some reason

I never looked for the similarties between her and me.

Until one day I realized the world was a dark, scary place

I looked for some refuge but there was no one around.

My sister was there helping me with all my heavy weight.

Making sure my feet were always on the ground.

I need her the most when I feel defeated

Because whenever I'm unsure of my place in the world

She is the one that makes me feel the most needed.

I will never regret anything in life

Only the fact that I took so long to find my bestfriend

When she was right my side throughout my entire ride.

She is my happy memory, my bright light

I am beyond thankful for her

Although she is younger she has been the most wonderful guide.
