Dark Contempt

Alone he sat

in dark contempt.

Alone in this cave

Gollum, he wept

Along came this traveler

Frightened and cold

In search of his friends

But now all alone.

Mr. Bilbo Baggins

A hobbit so glutinous

And as Gollum soon learned

A liar and thief nonetheless

In a game of riddles

a game of tongues

A way to decide

which fate was to come

But unfairness transpired

and Gollum played victim

He lost the one thing

That he held close to him

Alone he sat

in dark contempt

Alone in this cave

Gollum, he wept.

Stolen Bliss

This night froze still

with ice up your spine

and love's last kiss

wasn’t sweet, nor divine.

Sweet pure innocence

Now stained red

these scarred eyes couldn’t handle

to watch my angel fled

These scattered dreams

of love’s lost life,

Leaves me in tears

in remembrance of strife.

Our weary hearts

were locked in love,

And my morning light

now my mourning dove.

When will the anguish cease?

When will this aching stop?

When I turn myself over to death

and on the ground my body drops?

What would I give,

For one last kiss?

But now I drink to forget

this stolen bliss.

The truth of an unwanted gift

Death,

Stuck in eternal slumber.

Alone,

Solitude; self companied.

Darkness

The end of this long path.

Dementia,

Losing the knowledge I've once own

Family

Broken and torn.

Life,

An unwanted gift.

Purgatory,

This place my soul must cycle.

New,

Now this world begins.

Reincarnation,

A new beginning; this recycled soul.

Birth.

Crimson Tears

They say with each cut

Pain washes away

But nothing's more painful

Than knowing your wrist have cried today

Each crimson tear you've cried

Only tells me I have failed

Each night of weary pain

And every scar leaving its trail

There is no need to resort

To such a tragic punishment

No one should ever feel

A knives false perception of friendship

I'd be the one to give you

My wrist before your own

I'd stay with you every night

So you wouldn't feel alone

Tell me why it is you feel

That this is the only way

All those mental scars

Will never go away

I'm always here to help you

So at peace you can be

I'll help you regain hope

And from this pain I'll set you free.
