Once upon a day

A year

A month

It happened this way

A shy fellow

And a bashful lady

Join in embrace

Poorly clad

In secret they meet

On eternity’s time

Courtly they gather

In a forest grown dark

At the well,

It’s heart

Sipping mortality

Age took hold

Lady was married

One fateful day

Mournful wedding bells

Fellow was not told

In the forested abyss

He waited alone

But lady…

She could not go

He wept

And mourned

Bewildered

"Why?"

She longed

And sighed

Prisioned in her mind

Neither knew

What the other’d become

Till one day

From her tower

The foundations crumbled 

For lady so high

To the well she went

Finding lad poorly kept

They promised

Never to be severed again

Hand in hand

Two stood on edge

Inside the lovers well

They submerged their breath

Blood doesn't float

Maybe if I let out enough I'll fly

Will I become a bird?

They bind me in

Tight with skin

Only selfish people fly

What do they have against freedom?

The violinist searched high

Penetrating the vast open sky

As it asked of him

What it is he wished to fill the air with

On his final days

In distance he thought

"I no longer wish to play,

I wish to listen."

I don't understand

Why I looked the other way

Turning back with blind eyes

Seeing in you

A love I wanted so badly

That reality became a blur

All those times you pretended I wasn't there

Pretended our sunshine wasn't there

I thought I could fix it

And make you care

Until the yelling

The neglect

Turned into an abandoned family

In a vandalized home

I realized you being gone

Felt the same as you being there

I know that we deserve better

We have found better

Her mess of curls

Swayed as she scurried along

Bubbling laughter

Echoing down the hall

I move so fast

But all she does is grow

And i miss the eves

Where she needed my hand

Just to take to take a few steps

I wish my eyes could penetrate

See the world turned inside out
