Embers of Time
At 20, desire consumed the embers beneath me--fueling every action and reaction--I was its blazing effect.
At 35, desire knew a bigger picture, bigger stakes, but remembering past fumbles, functioned with hesitation and doubt, skirting fires left and right.
At 50, desire knows, and embracing herself, she is centered, wise, and as content living for herself as for others.
