How do you go back?

How do you go back after seeing another life?

Something that makes you feel so alive

What do you do when you leave all that behind

And eventually go back to where you came from, alone without direction at all

Either I wait for a miracle or become a God and make one for myself

The streets back home are a reminder of you

So I travel far, looking for something new

Each new street makes me wish you were here too

I miss the days when we would stare at the sky because we never needed anything special to do

Part of me always wishes you'd magically end up here

Just us, looking at the moon

Beneath the trees, memories lay there

Once whispers of joy, now howls of sadness

The sky was always bright, now a taint was drawn across it

But the clocks kept on ticking, they couldn’t spare a second

Places that once had memories are now just places for new mysteries

Songs that once meant something are now just music for my heart

Like the ever changing desert landscape, the sand has been shifted

As I lift my head up, I see all the places we once saw together

Now they’re just place that belong to me forever
