Guilt

He watched her in her deepest sleep

Truly he was at fault

For the drugs he had slipped in like a creep

Wanting more than he had a right to have

Keeping his secret in the vault

The man watched the girl as white as snow

Cables fluttering into her skin

Like snakes sneaking into a hole below

every line

Every quake of a muscle

Hope began to shine

Until he stopped

No longer watching the screen born girl

No longer brushing hair back

Hand fisted into a tight curl

He walked away head first into his damnation
