Write about something terrifying but not evil, dangerous but no ill intent...
SecretWriter in Poetry & Free Verse

Life

It is slipping away from her,

It is slipping away from us all.

So futile, so ephemeral.

And yet, she clings in vain

For one final, pathetic breath

A breath of fear, of pain, of agony

Of hope.

There she struggles amidst the indifferent tides,

There she lost the game.

A game of chess with the Reaper.

That is the game we play,

A perpetual, inevitable checkmate.

So ephemeral,

And yet we cling in vain.

Great Again?

Fools!

  Rapists, "pussy!"

       Boarder wall

  Ban them all!

Divide and conquer -

Stop. Smile: "I will unify you all! I will make America Great Again!"
