The Ferris Wheel

At the center of the county fair

A majestic wheel with many small compartments

Beautiful colors adorn the sides

Always rotating

A calm view of the city

Can be seen from the top

A romantic ride

For enjoying time with a loved one

The cool air running it’s fingers though your hair

The calm feeling of being away from it all

But what goes up must come down

And when the riding is done

You will feel at peace

For when the rollercoasters have exhilarated you

The Ferris Wheel brings you back to terms with reality

Internet (Reversal Poem)

The internet is amazing

I refuse to believe that

The internet is dangerous

I believe

The internet brings us together

Without it

We would still be separated

The internet can make us feel

Lonely

However

Being social is important

How else would we be in touch with relatives.

But people say we need the internet to function

And I agree

Experts tell me that the Internet is dangerous, However

Hacking isn’t as prevalent as we think

People say

We are safe online

So I refuse to believe

The internet is dangerous

Read this poem backwards line by line for a different meaning ;)

Imagine Summer

When others think of summer

They imagine sunny beaches, picnics, and lush, green forests

All I see

When I imagine summer

Is the cold, harsh wind that precedes a storm
