Filling the Void

She kept them

in the palm of her hand,

pill shaped souls.

and when no one was watching

she'd swallow them whole.

Mother Nature

As old as the stars,

It sings to sleep,

Rocking the earth,

It howls through the wind,

It twirls its waves,

Soothing and healing,

so silently being,

The power within.

A Storm is Brewing

A storm is coming

Can you see it rise?

Clouds on clouds,

Darkening the skies.

A whirlpool of seagulls

Their wings spread wide,

Observe from above

The swelling of the tide,

The sea as it churns

Angry and white,

Waves foaming and spluttering

In outbursts of light.

The air is like static,

Hear it crackle and hiss,

As it itches to experience

Lightning strike the abyss

the beach is deserted,

left cold and bare,

The ruins of sandcastles

Abandoned without care.

A storm is brewing,

Disturbed from its sleep,

Ruthless and wild

As it stirs from the deep.

Challenge
In my last challenge, it was to write a micro-poem ... this time, it's a little harder ... write a mini micro-poem, consisting of no more than 55 characters of which include all letters, numbers, symbols, punctuation, and spaces between words (The title and return/enter key does not count.)
This can be on any topic, but anything over 55 would be classed a a micro poem, not a mini micro-pem. Make sure you tag me so I can read what you have written and don't forget to tag me this way: @Danceinsilence, otherwise I may never see it. (NOTE: Add at least some additional words underneath in parens as it will not accept anything under 15 words.)

Regret

I walked out

without looking back.

And now

as I stand alone,

I wish I'd done

just that.
