Dark Lines

I line

The lines

Of white

To Aline

My mind

With fine

Strong highs

To vacation from my bleak reality

Reality

They buried a ten year old child down the street from me, with all the rest of my cities victims,  because of a robbery that was either for coke money or Jordans. I have a two year old sister, two little cousins who emulate a thug persona, and a twelve year old neighbor who looks up to me. I have no choice; I have to escape the evil that surrounds me (this unreal city) and pray I can set my lands in order, creating the peace that passes my own understanding.

Challenge
Open your eyes to the mundane. Turn your findings into something memorable.

Ceiling Fan

Spinning making the air cold

Brown blades

With white lights

That bring darkness

I leave you off

Maybe I don't want you moving

Then again I blame the wiring

This darkness sometimes flickers

I hate you...

No! I love you because

We're both sitting sharing company

Under what I need to pass
