Storm Girl

I'm not a girl. I'm a storm with skin.

One wrong word,

One wrong move,

One wrong choice,

And I'll blow.

I'm not a girl. I'm a storm with skin

And you better watch out because

Behind that pretty smile,

The cute laugh,

And shining eyes,

There's a raging storm

though it doesn't show.

I'm not a girl. I'm a storm with skin.

I'm tired of being judged.

I'm tired of sitting still.

I'm tired of acting like a lady.

And I'm tired of you telling me what to do.

I'm not a girl. I'm a storm with skin

And I'm finally ready to show the world.

They can't hold me.

They can't control me.

They can't stop me.

They can't change me.

I'm not a girl. I'm a storm with skin

And you can't tell a storm what to do.

Detective

A bad day comes to an end.

The day began with a murder investigation

And it finally ends after a long, unproductive

meeting.

Nothing could be worse.

Little did I know the night provided cover for

the shadow.

The shadow that begins to pull out a gun.

Save Me

Once again I choke down a scream.

I’m trying to keep myself from getting up to leave.

How can they be so ignorant?

How can they not see,

The anger building up inside me?

Too much noise inside my head.

Someone please save me.

Oblivion

The shadow crept in quietly.

White moonlight shown through glass.

The carpet muffled the footsteps.

She turned around too late.

The knife red with blood.

Remember the Traveler

There's a girl I know, who's tears flow

as she travels all alone.

There's a place we go when she is home.

A place where we laugh and play.

Then the time will come for her to leave again.

And I'll guarantee before she leaves she'll say.

She'll always say,

"While I'm gone,

no matter how long that may be,

promise me just one little thing.

Even if the times get tough

and you start losing your memories,

please, oh please remember me."

Your Game

I’m out of breath

Running away from everything that’s left

The bridge is burning

The tides are turning

You I wanted to save

My heart I gave

But you faked

For your own sake

All my life

You’ve been your knife

You told your lies

To buy time

It will never be the same

I have lost your game

Seed

The seed of love planted too soon

Fed by the morning dew

It grew

Only to die too soon

Blind Love

A bride to be

But what she couldn’t see

There wasn’t two but three

Kindness

One kind person

One kind smile

Has potential

To last awhile

Burning Bridge

Standing on opposite ends of a burning bridge.

We’re watching the smoke rise.

This is what they wanted.

This is the result of their lies.

They told us lies to keep us apart.

They left us both with broken hearts.

They thought that they would win.

But we know that together we will be whole again.

Standing on opposite ends of a burning bridge

We’re watching the smoke rise.

Both knowing that we can’t fly.

We jump to the river hoping we can swim.
